Heung min son will wear a facial mask in this World Cup. This mask is designed to protect the facial bones from impact and minimizes the risk of injury. Son sustained the injury in Champions League against Marseille while playing for Tottenham.
"His eye injury was serious as it required surgery to ensure full recovery. We can confirm that Heung min son will undergo surgery to stabilize a fracture around his left eye” a statement from Tottenham explained. The prognosis was positive and son was confirmed fit to play for the world cup.
Son also mentioned on his Instagram that he is very happy that he will play in the world cup and is very proud of representing his national country.
