Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opening goal for Portugal in their 3-2 win over Ghana. He managed to bag the ball into the net from the penalty spot, despite being under so much pressure. That’s one of the things he's really good at, handling pressure.
With this goal, Cristiano became the first player to score in 5 fifa world cups. He surpassed Brazilian striker Pele and Germany's striker Klose, both of whom managed to score in 4 Worldcups.
Ronaldo now has total of 118 goals in International football. He has scored total 8 goals in World cup. This goal relieved a lot of pressure off him and was the perfect reply to all the fans who were doubting his abilities.
The match could have ended in a draw as Portugal's keeper made a big mess and lost the ball to Ghana's striker in the final minutes. But the Ghanian striker failed to make it count.
